We know wedding planning comes with a million questions, and we’re here to make things easy. Below are answers to some of the most common things couples ask us. If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, just reach out—we’d love to chat!

The Basics

What’s your photography style?

Our approach is a mix of candid storytelling and creative portraiture. We capture real, unscripted moments while also guiding you for natural, beautiful portraits.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking as soon as possible, especially for peak season (May-October), as dates fill quickly. Most couples book 6-12 months in advance. Once you have your wedding date and venue confirmed you can lock us up for your wedding date! Contact us to see if your we are available!

Where are you based, and do you travel for weddings?

We’re based in Skagit County, WA, and love to travel for love!

Do you photograph LGBTQIA+ weddings?

Duh!!! We are a queer-owned business and are passionate about celebrating love in all forms.

Have you worked at our venue before?

If we have, we’ll already know the best spots for photos! If not, we research new venues beforehand and, when possible, do a walk-through before your wedding day. Send us a message and we'll let you know if we've shot at your venue before!

What if we’re camera-shy?

No worries! Most of our couples aren’t models—they’re real people in love. We create a relaxed, fun experience to help you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.

Booking + Payments

How do we book our wedding with you?

A signed contract and a $1000 deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is due before the wedding.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We typically split invoices into three payments, but we can set up a custom payment schedule if needed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards online and checks by mail.

What happens if we need to reschedule or cancel?

If your date changes, we’ll do our best to accommodate. The deposit is non-refundable, but it can be transferred to a new date if available.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the nature of photography services, all payments are non-refundable. However, we’re committed to making sure you love your experience with us!

What to Expect on Your Big Day

Do you always have two photographers?

Yes! Every wedding is photographed by both Alexis + Katrina, ensuring full coverage of your day. Learn more about your photographers!

Will you pose us, or is everything candid?

A mix of both! We’ll guide you during portraits but keep things natural, fun, and relaxed.

How long do you stay at the reception?

It depends on your package, but we typically stay through the big moments (first dance, cake cutting, etc.) and some open dancing. Additional coverage is always available.

What if it rains?

We live in the PNW and embrace it! We’ll adapt and find beautiful locations indoors or use clear umbrellas to make the most of the weather.

What happens if you get sick or have an emergency?

We have backup photographers we trust in case of an emergency. That said, we’ve never missed a wedding!

After Your Wedding

When will we receive our wedding photos?

The turnaround time depends on the package you choose, but most weddings are delivered within three months. We know how exciting it is to see your photos, so we always send sneak peeks within 72 hours to give you a glimpse of your special day.

How do we receive our photos?

Your images will be delivered in a private online gallery where you can view, download, and order prints.

Do you edit the photos?

Yes! All images are personally edited for color, tone, and consistency.

Do you provide RAW photos?

Nope! We believe editing is part of our artistic process and only deliver fully edited images.
