On a vibrant spring evening in downtown Mount Vernon, we stepped into a world of color, community, and pure joy at PFLAG Skagit’s Queer Prom. Hosted at the whimsical and queer-owned White Branches, the night was a true celebration of authenticity, expression, and love in all its forms.
From the moment we arrived, the energy was electric. Laughter echoed across the ballroom as folks twirled under string lights, proudly showing off sequins, florals, bold makeup, and heartfelt style choices. The whole evening radiated a sense of freedom and belonging—exactly what queer prom should feel like.
One of our favorite moments? The show stopping performances hosted by the dazzling Gina Touché. Her presence brought so much charisma and warmth to the night, and it was clear how much it meant for attendees—especially queer youth—to see themselves reflected in someone so radiant and unapologetically themself.
As photographers and as a queer-owned business, nights like this matter deeply to us. Capturing the joy, strength, and tenderness of our community reminds us why we do what we do. Visibility isn't just powerful—it's necessary. And we're so grateful to PFLAG Skagit and White Branches for creating a space where every guest could feel seen and celebrated.
