We met Sierra (she/they) and Harris (he/him) on a warm, muggy summer day at Rasar State Park, where soft clouds floated overhead but still let in that dreamy, filtered light. The forest was alive with texture—moss-covered trees, sandy riverbanks, and the Skagit River winding quietly through it all. It felt like the perfect setting for Sierra + Harris’s laid-back and adventurous spirits.
From the moment we started shooting, it was clear how effortlessly these two move through the world together. Sierra and Harris are deeply in sync—playful, grounded, and so present with each other. The session unfolded with an ease that made everything feel like a quiet adventure. When Sierra stepped confidently into the Skagit River in her dress, Harris followed without hesitation, his plaid shirt echoing the tones of her dress like they were made to match.
That river moment—barefoot, hands clasped—is one we won’t forget anytime soon. It was spontaneous and beautiful, just like them. And honestly, the whole session had that vibe: a little wild, a lot joyful, and anchored in trust.
One of our favorite unexpected highlights? Learning all about Sierra’s falcon (yes, a real falcon!). Katrina was completely enthralled and probably asked a thousand questions, and Sierra was more than happy to share. It’s those little details, those pieces of personality, that make sessions like this feel extra special.
We’re so grateful for the chance to hang out with Sierra + Harris in one of our favorite PNW spots. It’s always a gift to witness love that’s this easy and free.
