We had the absolute joy of returning to A&K Alder Farm for the second year in a row for the Queer Styled Shoot—and we’re still riding the high from it! Every time we step onto this gorgeous property in Sedro-Woolley, it feels like stepping into a dream. The day started with a little classic PNW drizzle, but the clouds cleared just in time, bathing the entire space in soft spring light. It couldn’t have been more perfect.


What makes this shoot so special isn’t just the location (though let’s be real—it’s stunning everywhere you turn). It’s the people. This event brings together a whole community of LGBTQIA+ affirming vendors and real queer couples, and there’s something so powerful about watching everyone show up with their whole hearts. It’s joyful, colorful, a little chaotic in the best way—and completely filled with love.


This year’s vibe was color explosion meets pure celebration. The models rocked some killer suits, the balloon arch from Sugar Bubbles and Co. was filled with adorable rainbows, and Free Range Flowers absolutely outdid themselves with bold, bright arrangements. From the luxury picnic setups to the roaming fire dancers, every detail was thoughtful and fun. And because the models were all real couples, every moment felt genuinely emotional—nothing posed, nothing forced. Just love, laughter, and connection.


We wandered all over the farm capturing portraits—from green paths to wide open fields to tucked-away forest corners. The beauty of this venue is that everywhere you turn is photo-ready. It’s truly one of our favorite places to shoot.


Massive shoutout to the entire vendor team who made the magic happen. From the drinks to the decor, the planning to the pampering, every part of the day was a reflection of the kind of inclusive, community-centered celebration we’re proud to be a part of.


We’re so grateful to be included in this event and hope it becomes a yearly tradition. Being queer-owned, it means the world to us to document and uplift real love and real stories in spaces that are made for us. Here’s to many more.
