Maggie + Andrew’s wedding day unfolded like a quiet poem—gentle rain in the distance, soft light filtering through glass, and a gathering of people who truly know and love them. Held at the lush and timeless W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory in Tacoma, WA, their micro wedding was an intentional, deeply personal celebration that honored their story in every detail.
We’ve known Maggie + Andrew as dear friends for years, so stepping into this day not just as photographers but as part of their inner circle was incredibly special. Their connection is grounded, sweet, and full of warmth—the kind of love that feels both peaceful and wildly alive. From the very start, the energy was laid-back and filled with adoration. We arrived to find family laughing and chatting while helping with final touches. It was clear: this wasn’t about grandeur, it was about meaning.
Andrew looked effortlessly stylish in a light grey suit, and the moment their grandmother pinned on the boutonnière was one of quiet tenderness. Maggie radiated joy and elegance in a deep green velvet dress paired with vintage accessories—a headpiece and purse that added a timeless touch. Every detail reflected their love of beauty, intention, and authenticity.
The ceremony itself was held inside the conservatory’s glass walls, surrounded by vibrant greenery and glowing natural light. Andrew’s mother officiated—a role she filled with so much care and grace, making the whole moment feel sacred. Watching Maggie walk down the aisle with her dad toward Andrew and their mom was a moment that caught all our hearts. Their vows were heartfelt, their smiles uncontainable. It was simple, sacred, and entirely them.
After the ceremony, the conservatory echoed with happy tears, tight hugs, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the last photo. We took time for family portraits, and each photo felt like a chapter of their story—every person present held real significance. Then we wandered through the lush gardens with Maggie + Andrew for some intimate portraits. The way they moved together, laughing and savoring each moment, made the whole place feel like a secret garden made just for them.
To wrap up, we slipped outside into Wright Park, catching the last light of the day and just barely missing the rain. And the best surprise? Their sweet pup Bear joined for a few final frames—bringing his fluffy charm and big energy to the moment. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with love and joy.
As a queer-owned photography team, it means the world to us to document LGBTQIA+ love stories—especially when they belong to people we love.
