There’s something special about Kukutali Preserve State Park, and when you combine its stunning scenery with a couple as joyful and adventurous as Jarae + Brandon, magic happens! We had the absolute best time capturing their engagement session at this breathtaking location, and with the perfect golden hour sunset wrapping everything in a warm glow, it truly couldn’t have been more beautiful.
From the moment we started, it was clear that Jarae and Brandon are so in love—the kind of love that radiates in every laugh, every glance, and every quiet moment in between. Their connection is effortless and full of fun, which made this session an absolute dream to photograph.
We explored rocky shorelines, winding trails, and towering trees, making the most of the incredible Pacific Northwest landscape. Jarae and Brandon fully embraced the adventurous nature of the location, climbing over rocks and weaving through the trees together. Every step felt like an extension of their relationship—playful, connected, and filled with joy.
Kukutali Preserve has always been one of our favorite spots to shoot, and this evening only solidified that. The way the sunset lit up the sky, casting golden reflections over the water, was the perfect backdrop for their love story. There’s something truly magical about watching two people simply enjoy being together in such a peaceful, beautiful place.
We cannot wait to photograph Jarae and Brandon’s wedding later this year! If their engagement session was any indication, their wedding day is going to be full of love, laughter, and adventure—just like them.
